KYMIA SCULPTURES

Kymia was born in 1969. After studying Applied Arts in Lyon and Fine Arts in Annecy, she worked as a student and then as an assistant in the studio of sculptor H. Tonglet (Ardennes) for 12 years. Kymia then became a jewellery caster, trained in metalworking techniques and learned how to weld aluminium. Her various stays in art foundries enriched her knowledge of metal engraving. Since 1988, Kymia has exhibited in numerous European galleries, as well as at the Faure Museum in Aix-les-Bains, the Museum of Sacred Art in St Nicolas de Véroce, the Aluminium Museum in St Michel de Maurienne, and the Gueules Rouges Museum in Tourves. Her works are included in the permanent collections of the Faure Museum in Aix-les-Bains, the Gueules Rouges Museum in Tourves, the Museum of Sacred Art in Saint Nicolas de Véroce, and the Conservatory of Art and History in Annecy.
